Cancelling a cash receipt and commission payment

Cancelling a cash receipt and commission payment

If you need to correct the commission portion in the transaction profile page after a disbursement has already been created, please follow these steps.

  1. In the disbursements section of the transaction

  • Go to Disbursements to Agents

  • Click on the magnifying glass beside your agent to see the payments

  • Click on the warning sign to cancel the payment

Repeat this step for all payments created to other agents / outside brokers or clients.

If the payment was made in a different month and you have already closed your accounting period, make sure to put the present date before cancelling.

If the month has not yet been closed, you can select the original date to cancel the operation.

If an EFT payment has been created and processed to the bank it won’t be cancelled.

It can only be cancelled if the payment is waiting to be added to the outgoing batch.

2. In the “Transaction Cash Receipt” section, click on the No seq and click “Cancel” and confirm the cancellation date.

3. Once all payments have been cancelled on the disbursements page, go back to the commission section on the transaction profile and make the necessary adjustments. Recreate a new cash receipt and redistribute payments to agents / outside brokers and or clients.

If the initial payment was made by EFT, select cheque and write 99999 as cheque number so a new EFT payment doesn’t get created.
